“Therapy?”

“How long will he be in therapy?”
“Two, maybe two and a half hours.”
Max stared at me completely mystified because he’d arranged a specific time for us to meet and it seemed to him that Rex had somewhat bizarrely set that instruction aside. Little did my boyfriend know that I had arranged Rex’s session, having other ideas on my mind.
“If we have some free time, could you take me someplace, Max?”
“Of course. It seems we have plenty of time now.”

I should be dead by now if Hannah failed.

“I want twenty million and Pincer, preferably alive. Make it fifty million if he’s dead.”

He reached a hand out to shake mine but I shook my head, shocked he would try.
